On February 1, the Volga District Military Court fined IT entrepreneur Ramil Ibragimov to a fine of 50,000 rubles for an Instagram post in which he gloated over the massacre at a gay club in the US city of Orlando. It is reported by Interfax.
Earlier, the prosecution demanded that Ibragimov be sent to a penal colony for three years. Ibragimov's post was regarded by the court as a justification for terrorism. Ibragimov himself did not agree with this interpretation. At the same time, he stated in court that he considered his text in a post where he regretted that not all the victims of the “correct Afghan kid” who fired at a gay club “died”, and hoped that they “still die”, rude and cynical. Ibragimov said that he regrets that he allowed himself such words.
