Russian-Belorussian relations are experiencing a crisis because of certain forces in the leadership of Russia, whose actions diverge from the position of President Vladimir Putin. As Interfax reports , President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this
"Indeed, there (in Russia. - Ed.) Different forces. Unfortunately, they are different today in the country's leadership. And, very bad, that some things diverge from the opinion and decisions of the president himself," Lukashenko said
According to him, relations between Moscow and Minsk are now "developing unimportant." “But I emphasize once again: the forces are different there. And he, the president (Vladimir Putin. - Ed.), Rise directly to me:“ You do not pay attention. What you told me, I don’t even know that, we have this spectrum so ... "He knows, he doesn’t know, he probably knows something, but he did not dare to say, etc.," Lukashenko explained.
At the same time, he stated that in Russia they fear the departure of Belarus to the West. “Exacerbation is because Russia has alertness that Belarus would go west,” said Lukashenko, emphasizing that his country does not intend to sacrifice its independence in any situation.
“Why grab the living, why take us by the throat. It is clear that we can do without Russian oil. It will be very difficult for us,” the Belarusian president said, adding that Belarusian will find a way out anyway.
Lukashenko also believes that Russia has violated the border agreement between the two countries . “We agreed on the border - there are concrete articles, there are concrete articles, 1995 agreements and subsequent, the Union state gathered to create. Imagine: there are interstate agreements, agreements. And one minister, even a strong, Ephesus and so on, with one stroke of the pen put an end to all the agreements, issuing his order. Is this, is it normal?” - said Lukashenko.
Lukashenko also called it inappropriate to create a Russian military air base in the country. "What is in a modern war against NATO, let's say, a plane? 10 minutes of battle - it took off, and it is not. It is different today. It is possible to fly in Syria when there is no air defense system," the Belarusian president said. In his opinion, it makes no sense to have an airfield at the front theater of military operations, since "two missiles on the runway, and not a single plane will take off."
According to Lukashenko, the Russian proposal to create a military base in Belarus - "this is not a military proposal." At the same time, he announced the readiness of Belarus to conduct traditional Russian-Belarusian exercises "West" on his territory.
Also on Friday, as RNS supplemented, Lukashenko instructed to initiate a criminal case against the head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergei Dankvert "for damage to the state."
"I will say the main thing. The first: all these Dankverts are interested, each has a huge Latifundia, they themselves are manufacturers of a product or roof or work somewhere, or by the owners. Of course, they cannot compete with Belarusian products in quality and price." Therefore, the Belarusian president explained, and "these barriers are installed."
"What are you articula? Why are you blocking Belarusian goods? We need to sell it to pay for oil and gas, I always talk about it. We don’t get off with this. Go, get out this cow droply, make these cheeses and oil, it is not easy," Lukashenko said.
On Friday, the head of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, said that the country could introduce a visa -free regime for foreigners longer than five days.
On February 1, orders of the FSB director Alexander Bortnikov were published on the creation of the border zone along the border with Belarus in the Pskov, Smolensk and Bryansk regions. Orders come into force on February 7th. The structures of the FSB border service are ordered to "set the places and time of entry (passage) of persons and vehicles into the border zone; organize the installation of warning signs at the entrances to the border zone."
Russia decided to establish the border zone without a preliminary notice of Belarus, the representative of the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, Maria Vanshina, emphasized . “Many have the impression that these actions lead to the restoration of full -fledged control on the Belarusian -Russian border, canceled more than twenty years ago. And this is contrary to a number of existing agreements that provide the basic principle of the openness of the borders between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation,” she said.
