The EU summit agreed on a plan for reducing migration to Europe by sea

The leaders of the EU countries agreed at a meeting in Vallett (Malta) a program for reducing the flow of migrants arriving in Europe through the Mediterranean Sea.

According to DPA , referring to diplomatic circles, the plan includes an increase in Libya’s assistance - primarily to strengthen coast guard and create refugee camps, as well as financial support for those migrants who decided to return to their homeland voluntarily.

At the summit, it was also about the need to strengthen the unity of the European Union in the conditions when the procedure for leaving Great Britain begins.

In addition, European leaders expressed concern in connection with some decisions of US President Donald Trump and his administration, but have agreed not to change anything in their relations with Washington. This was said by the Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.
