Diaghilev festival announced the program

The XI International Festival named after Sergei Diaghilev will be held in Perm from May 14 to 25. At the opening of the festival at the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater, performed by the festival orchestra led by Theodore Curentsis, the first symphony of Malera will sound.

The venues of the Diaghilev festival-2017 will also be the theater-theater, the organ hall, the Perm Art Gallery, the Diaghilev House and the Private Philharmonic "Triumph".

The festival will present the premieres of the 145th season of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater-the opera of Alexei Syumak “Cantos” in the production of Semyon Aleksandrovsky and Anna Sokolovich “Wedding” in the production of Anton Adasinsky. Also in the program the play “The Hidden Sayings” will be shown by the center of the hedgehog of Grotovsky (Italy).

On the last day of the festival, three ballet premieres are planned - three one -act ballets Stravinsky in the production of leading Russian choreographers. This is the "parsley" of Vladimir Barnabas, the "fairies of the fairies" Vyacheslav Samodurov and the "Firebird" Alexei Miroshnichenko.

One of the most unusual numbers of the festival program will be the concert of the Danish team of Aquasonic , the musicians of which play and sing while under water in aquariums, and the artists of Ensemble Micrologus (Italy) will present scenes from the life of medieval Europe in Perm.

From May 15 to May 24, 50 spectators will be able to join the Remote Perm project, an audio promenade in Perm, which will suit the German theater company Rimini Protokoll .

In the concert program of the Diaghilev festival, the performances of the cellist Bruno Koksa, the pianists of Anton Batagov and Alexei Lyubimov, the concerts of Alim Kasimova (Azerbaijan) and the Pandita Charipassada Chalus (India) and the vocal concert “LiedraBend” , on which Murrih Murrih Murri (Ireland) will perform with the pianist Tanya Blach (USA).

As part of the educational program, the festival will be held by master classes by its participants-pianists, choreographers, directors and conductors. This year, cellists will be added to them - in 2016 there was a great demand for this specialty.

In addition, lectures and meetings with musicians, scientists, art historians, among the invited lecturers are planned at the festival - Alexei Parin, Levon Akopyan and Olga Manulkin.

Graduates of last year’s educational program, together with graduates of the International Academy of Young Composers in the city of Tchaikovsky, will be presented by two mini-operators written and set by the forces of young composers, conductors and directors especially for the Diaghilev festival.
