© State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. PushkinDecree of the Government of the Russian Federation established a new deadline for the completion of the reconstruction of the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin - 2023.
Earlier, all work on the reconstruction and construction of all museum facilities was planned to be completed in 2020.
In a certificate to the decree signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and published on the government’s website, the transfer of the deadlines for the performance of work is explained by the need to “comply with the stages of the project according to the development concept of the museum”, as well as the feasibility of moving museum funds to new facilities “only after their commissioning”.
The document also states that the area of the main building of the museum will be increased to 25,998 sq.m (earlier 17,377 sq.m was provided), the building will be commissioned in 2023.
The construction of engineering networks is planned to be completed in 2022 (the previous term-2020), the museum deposit and restoration center is planned to be commissioned in 2020 (it was previously supposed to be done in 2019).
The reconstruction of the glow and its transformation into the Museum Gorodok is on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the museum.
