Astrakhan Gafurov was fined 70 thousand rubles in the case of non -renewal

Judge of the Kirovsky District Court of Astrakhan Anastasia Yaroshenko sentenced a local resident of Ulugbek Gafurova to a fine of 70 thousand rubles under Article 205.6 of the Criminal Code (failure to reinforce about a crime). Such information is transmitted by Interfax.

It is claimed that Gafurov was reliably known that his acquaintance, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan Ravshan Akbarov, was prepared on the basis of the Islamic State in Mosul, after which he fought on the side of the IS as part of the Katiba Gurada Jamaat (Ar. "Battalion of Strangers"). Nevertheless, the case says, Gafurov did not report to his friend.

The case was initiated based on the materials of the Astrakhan FSB. Whether the defendant admitted imputed guilt is not specified.

On December 29, 2016, the North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Akbarov to eight years in a strict regime under article 205.3 (training in terrorism) and part 2 of Article 208 of the Criminal Code (participation in illegal armed formation).

The prosecutor's office of the Astrakhan region reports that the decision in the Gafurov case is the first verdict in Russia under Article 205.6, which was included in the Criminal Code in July last year by one of the laws of the "Package of Yarova".
