According to investigators, on December 11, 2016, a 24-year-old firefighter from the Ketovsky district set fire to the outbuilding of the mother of a man who owed money to a fire station employee.

After the arson, the young man left, but “after some time, the accused appeared at the scene of the crime for the second time, but this time to eliminate the fire as an active firefighter of the municipal fire station.”

The damage is estimated at 20 thousand rubles. A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code (deliberate destruction of property by arson), which carries a sentence of up to five years in prison. During the investigation, the firefighter was under recognizance not to leave the place.
