An Ulyanovsk resident walked 30 kilometers on skis to the Samara region to rob a store

A 30-year-old resident of the Ulyanovsk region, previously convicted of murder, skied 30 kilometers to the Samara region to rob a store in the village of Nadezhdino. This was reported on the website of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Samara Region.

The police said that on the evening of February 2, the duty station of the Department of Internal Affairs in the Koshkinsky district received a report of a robbery: a woman born in 1979, working in a store, said that a man had stolen the proceeds, threatening her with an object similar to a pistol. She clarified that she had not seen the man before and suggested that he was not local, since everyone in the village knew each other. The woman also noted that the attacker entered the store holding skis in his hands.

The police interviewed local residents, while simultaneously working out possible escape routes for the robber. As a result, they got on his trail: the man was moving across the field on skis in the direction of the Ulyanovsk region. He was detained before he even arrived at his destination.

The suspect was seized with stolen money and an air pistol, with which he probably threatened the seller. It turned out that a resident of the Ulyanovsk region, previously convicted of murder, had only recently been released from prison. According to him, he robbed the store due to lack of money. To do this, he had to cross the field on skis for about 30 kilometers. Based on the incident, a case of robbery was opened (Part 2 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code).
