Megafon has refused to provide subscribers with unlimited Internet services due to the lack of interest of users and a small number of new connections. This was reported in the official microblog of the company on Twitter.

According to the messages, the “Unlimited Internet” option is not available for connecting from February 1, however, subscribers who have connected this service earlier can still use unlimited Internet.

Note that other communication operators also plan to abandon tariffs with unlimited Internet. So, the other day, the Vedomosti newspaper with reference to the analyst of VTB Capital, Ivan Kim, reported that MTS is going to raise prices or completely abandon tariffs with unlimited Internet until the end of 2017.

In December last year, Yota announced the abandonment of tariffs with unlimited Internet. As the general director of Yota Vladimir Dobrynin noted, this step will reduce the cost of tariffs.

In November 2016, the gradual refusal of tariffs with unlimited Internet was predicted by the general director of Vimpelcom (Beeline brand) Shell Morten Yonsen.
