
The Kameruna national football team became the winner of the African Nations Cup, having beaten the Egyptian team with a score of 2: 1 in the final match of the tournament in Gabon.
In the 22nd minute, the Egyptians brought Mohammed El-Nenny forward. However, Nicolas N'Kulu in the 59th minute leveled the situation, and the exact blow of Vincent Abubakar in the 88th minute brought the Camerunes victory.
Earlier in a comforting match for third place, the Burkina-Faso team beat the Ghana team.
For the national team, this is the fifth victory at the African Nations Cup. According to this indicator, it ranks second after the Egyptians, who have seven victories. The last time Camerunes became the owners of the prestigious continental trophy in 2002, and the Egyptians in 2010.
Having won the tournament in Gabon, the Cameroon team became the last participant in the Confederations Cup, which will be held from June 17 to July 2, 2017 in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Sochi and Kazan.
According to the draw, which took place on November 26 in Kazan, the winner of the African Nations Cup will play in the group round with the teams of Chile, Australia and Germany. In another quartet, the national teams of Russia, New Zealand, Portugal and Mexico will play. Two best teams from each group will enter the semifinals.
