TV journalist and coordinator of the Open Russia movement Vladimir Kara-Murza Jr., who was hospitalized with symptoms of poisoning and was in a critical condition, came out of a coma. This was stated by his lawyer Vadim Prokhorov.
“So far he cannot speak, but he communicates consciously by blinking his eyes,” the lawyer wrote on Facebook.
Prokhorov stressed that Kara-Murza's condition remains grave.
Earlier, the head physician of the 79th hospital, Denis Protsenko, told reporters that, as in 2015, Kara-Murza was hospitalized with "acute multiple organ failure." He confirmed that the situation could be "a repetition of the previous situation", but said that he had no reason to talk about the poisoning of the journalist.
“Two years ago, the world's leading toxicological laboratories did not detect the presence of any substances or their traces in the media. Even now our specialists do not see them,” Protsenko said.
“Heart function has almost fully recovered, hemodialysis has been turned off, for some periods of time Volodya does without a mechanical ventilation device, although it has not been completely turned off yet. Many thanks to the doctors!” Vadim Prokhorov wrote.
