The four -legged in the metropolis is difficult. The rich and do not really acquire them as a soft toy, and then they often find themselves on a street where, if they do not die under the wheels of cars and do not fall into the network of live goods catchers, settled, give offspring of “noble” blood, get down into packs, scare residents and again become hunting objects.

In the last seven years, from 2007 to 2015, the number of hopeless stray dogs in Moscow decreased by 15 times-from 30 thousand to 2 thousand (data from the housing and communal services department and the improvement of the capital). Some of them fell into one of 13 municipal or two private shelters. The municipal in 2015 contained about 16 thousand dogs. It is difficult to imagine that all the remaining 14 thousand dogs that disappeared from the streets found new owners. Rather, I believe in dog genocide, although the destruction of homeless dogs in Moscow has been banned since 2001.

But in a big city, not only doghanters live, but also people who save four -legged tramps and make the metropolis more friendly for its inhabitants. They find dogs on the streets, lead them to veterinarians, vaccinate, launder and warm them. And they even create establishments like the cafe bar “cunning people” or the Burger “Voronezh”, where the mongrels and their brothers of blue blood are always open. “Cunning people” were created by fans of children and animals - spouses Ekaterina Akhtyrskaya and Yuri Alexandrov. Their daughters of Sonya and Seraphim are used to the Society of "Nobles". “From the very beginning, we wanted to make such an institution in which it is possible that it is usually prohibited: on rollers you can, with children, with dogs, can. We do not want to say no to the guests at all, ”says Catherine.

Their business partner Ksenia Kolosova ( in the photo on the left ) of those amazing metropolitan things that save four -legged day and night. They met Dolly near the ABC of Taste store: Dolly gave a paw to everyone. She also submitted Ksenia and - turned out to be at her house. Now Dolly is looking for a family who would like to have “the best fur ass,” Kolosova wrote on her Facebook page.

Roni and Ksenia have been five years old: “My friend saved a whole puppy team, I had a monthly kids, everyone found families, and now one puppy was left,” the girl wrote on the Run for Dog project, which helps homeless animals. Roni became her first dog. A year later, Ksenia accidentally found out that a service for stray animals was going to Sokolniki and, without hesitation, went with friends to save dogs. “Picked up 13 puppies. Dad allocated the corner on the car depot, and we wore them two or three in the apartment, washed, combed, photographed and attached them, ”she recalls.

Roni practically grew up in the “cunning people” cafe-bar: they appeared in the life of Kolosova at the same time.

“It took me so much, so it took place,” could repeat the words of Sharikov and Roni, and Dolly, and a fan like Australian Kelpi - they were all selected on the street, and Labrador Truffel, which the breeders abandoned.

“On the streets of stray dogs, many dangers are in wait: hunger, cold, poisoning, illness, risk of running into an aggressive idiot,” says Ksenia. Fortunately, you can meet people like her and her friends are those thanks to whom Moscow becomes more human.
