European University lost a lawsuit against Rosobrnadzor in arbitration

The Moscow Arbitration Court refused the European University in a lawsuit on the execution of the Rosobrnadzor order based on the results of the inspection conducted in September, on the basis of which the university suspended the license. It is reported by Kommersant.

"Despite the active debate, the court did not support the arguments of the university that on September 16 we complied with the first order regarding the issues contested by the university (gym, certification, and practitioners)," the representative of the university said.

EU intends to challenge the decision of the arbitration. In addition, on Wednesday, the university filed a lawsuit in the same court regarding the execution of the re -order of Rosobrnadzor. The license review is possible only in the fact of a repeated violation.

In April last year, Rosobrnadzor completely suspended the state accreditation of higher education programs at the university. On December 7, the same department suspended the university license .

The European University challenged the decision in arbitration . The court ordered Rosobrnadzor as a security measure during the consideration of the claim to return the right to work. On December 14 , the license was restored .

On January 23, the Committee of Property Relations of St. Petersburg filed a lawsuit in the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region on the eviction of the university from the occupied building - the Kulev -Bisborodko Palace on Gagarinskaya Street. According to officials, EU violated the terms of the lease agreement of the building "regarding the requirements of the Committee on State Control, the Use and Protection of History and Culture Monuments."

The committee assured that if the lawsuit is satisfied, the university would not be evicted before the end of the school year, so as not to violate the interests of students.

In the commentary on the EU website, it was noted that the cause of the decision made the results of an unscheduled summer check of the building. The Committee of Property Relations accused the university of inconsistent redevelopments in the palace, namely, the installation of plastic windows on the courtyard facades and the construction of several temporary partitions. “It is important to note,” the university’s commentary says, “that all these violations are not at risk for the cultural values ​​of the palace and in the process of adaptation of the building would be automatically corrected.”

On January 9, EU submitted to the same arbitration court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region a claim to the committee, in which he challenged the termination of the lease. On the 19th, the court took interim measures to take a lawsuit, prohibiting the Rosreestr to register the termination of the rental of the building. Hearing on the merits of the case is scheduled for March 15.
