2007 Putin's Munich speech

Ten years ago, on February 10, 2007, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a speech at a security policy conference in Munich. He stated: "For the modern world, a unipolar model is not only unacceptable, but even impossible ... Russia is a country with more than a thousand years of history, and almost always it has enjoyed the privilege of pursuing an independent foreign policy. We are not going to change this tradition today."
