Activist Dinar Idrisov is not allowed to see a lawyer

Activist Dinar Idrisov, who was detained in St. Petersburg near the building of the Constitutional Court (CC), is not allowed to have a lawyer. The activist told OVD-Info about this by phone.

Idrisov was detained at about 12:30, during a one-man picket in support of Ildar Dadin. The activist was taken to police station No. 1 and is accused of violating the rules for holding public rallies (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and disobeying the lawful order of a police officer (part 1 of article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). At the moment, the protocol of detention has not yet been drawn up.

According to the activist, the police considered that he was in close proximity to the courthouse, which violated the law on freedom of assembly. Idrisov stressed that Russian legislation does not spell out what close proximity is and it is currently not possible to establish such boundaries.
