In the Murmansk region, the court fined the head of the Jehovah's Witnesses community

On February 9, it became known that the Polyarny District Court (Murmansk Region) fined Andrey Eliseev, Chairman of the Committee of the local religious organization of Jehovah's Witnesses Snezhnogorsk, for possession of extremist materials for the purpose of their mass distribution (Article 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by the information and analytical center "Sova" with reference to the regional prosecutor's office.

During the inspection of the premises of the prayer house of the community, prohibited literature was found in it. The prosecutor's office informs about the destruction of the seized literature. The number of materials seized is not known.
