FSO and something else

President Vladimir Putin introduced a bill to the State Duma on the expansion of the powers of the Federal Security Service. The document is published in the basis of the legislative initiatives of the lower house.

The bill gives FSO employees the right to restrict and prohibit the movement of vehicles and pedestrians on the tracks along which the route of protected persons pass. In addition, it is clarified that in the event of emergency or necessary defense, cars can use cars to stop criminals. Clause 3 of Art. 26, which states that in the absence of weapons or special funds, an employee of the state guard has the right to use any improvised means, is supplemented by the words: "including transport."

In addition, the FSO has an obligation to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the official Internet portal of legal information, the site Pravo.gov.ru.

A number of restrictions are applied to the FSO employees. In particular, they will post data on their work on the Internet. "Employees of state security bodies are prohibited from posting in the media, in the information and telecommunication network" Internet "information (including photos, video materials and other materials) about themselves, other employees of state security bodies, allowing to reveal to the state security bodies, about their official activities, the activities of state security bodies," the document says.

In addition, it is proposed to prohibit those who take psychoactive substances or drugs in the Federal Protection Service to serve in the Federal Service for Protection.

Technical amendments are also entered into a number of laws, one way or another regarding the work of employees of the state preservation bodies - “On sea ports”, “On state pension provision”, “Code of trade navigation”, “On state fingerprint registration” and “On the status of military personnel”, “On state protection of judges, law enforcement officials and regulatory bodies”.

FSO carries out functions for the state protection of the country's leadership and ensuring their protection. The special service is endowed with the right to conduct operational-search activities.

On May 26, Putin fired from the post of FSO director Yevgeny Murova, who headed the special service since 200. The general resigned of his own free will. The new director of the FSO was appointed Deputy Murov Dmitry Kochnev, who had previously led the Presidential Security Service.
