In Moscow, the prefecture demanded the cancellation of an electronic music party

The prefecture of the South-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow demanded to cancel the BRAVE electronic music party at the Molniya plant. This was announced on the Facebook page of the event. Representatives of the organizers of the party, the ARMA17 team, report that they were informed in the prefecture that “in the event that the preparations for the event continue and a notice of cancellation is not published, then starting from 16-00 Saturday, February 11, a headquarters will be deployed at the Lightning site to prevent the holding of an event with the participation of representatives of law enforcement agencies. The organizers claim that the prefecture has not presented any documents prohibiting or warning against the event. “All information is conveyed by phone calls, without presenting any documents,” the organizers said in a statement.

Deputy prefect Alexander Naydenov told Afisha Daily that the organizers sent the notification too late - not a month before the event, as it should be with the coordination of cultural events, but only on February 7. The organizers, for their part, say that they did not send a notification to the prefecture, but a letter asking for assistance in holding a cultural event. They refer to the order of the Mayor of Moscow, according to which approval is required for “an event with up to 5,000 people if it is a one-time mass cultural, educational, theatrical, entertainment, sports or advertising event held from 8.00 to 23.00.” The BRAVE party is a regular event that takes place at night. In this regard, the organizers believe that the prefecture has no legal grounds to cancel the event, and the police - to block access to it.

The Village reminds that in December 2016 the DATA event was canceled, which was supposed to take place at the same Molniya plant. It was canceled a few hours before the start due to a warning from the Kuzminsk Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office. In the summer of 2016, the thousands of international festival of electronic music and new urban culture Outline was also canceled at the last moment.
