On February 8, Ildar Dadin, sentenced to two and a half years in prison for repeated violations of the procedure for holding public events, was able to meet with his lawyer Nikolai Zboroshenka. The defender himself told about this OVD-Info by phone. The meeting lasted four hours, which are provided by law. Dadin is in a colony in the Altai Territory.
Two days after the meeting with the lawyer, a session of the Constitutional Court was held on Dadin's complaint against Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code (which introduced criminal liability for repeated violations of the procedure for holding public events). The court partially agreed with the arguments of the oppositionist and sent his case for a new trial.
