Locking under the boilers

Regarding the 282nd article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in our society, fierce disputes are still boiling. Especially around its first part, punishing "for words." There are different opinions here. Moreover, regardless of the political beliefs of the arguing.

Who is right? It is clear that the great enlightener seemed to be not mistaken. However, the author of these lines does not know the exact answer and, to his shame, is not always ready to go after the great humanist. There are times when the internal Voltaire tells you to stand up for the trynda, but something stops. Some kind of internal victorious, the Suslov urgently advises to silent and not sign the petition. Let them, they say, are planted or fined, it is lost to be lost, our business is a side.

It is unpleasant then to remember such moments.

But how easily it becomes in the soul when the censor is silent, and the moral law in the chest imperiously dictates speech in defense of free -thinking. As it was, for example, yesterday, in the course of acquaintance with the next performance of the State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov. He, as you probably already know, imperiously intervened in the discussion of supporters and opponents of the transfer of the St. Isaac Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church.

First, he organized the procession in support of the church, and then brightly and figuratively described those who would like to preserve the cathedral as a museum. More precisely, the leaders of the movement in defense of the museum, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg. “The Christians survived,” said Milonov, “despite the fact that the ancestors of Boris Lazarevich Vishnevsky and Maxim Lvovich Reznik cooked us in boilers and gave them to the beasts to be torn to pieces.” And something else said about "antipopes and anti-Hapons", but this was already less interesting, since it did not fall under the article. It was a pure word -making, which has no sense, which is why it was not indispensable.

But the careless mention of the names, patronymics, names of opponents formed a certain rattling mixture, in the language of the legal - the composition of the crime. That is, it fell under the 282nd, the first one, which does not encourage "the humiliation of the dignity of a person or group of persons on the grounds of gender, race, nationality, language, origin, attitude to religion ..." claiming that the ancestors of Boris Lazarevich and Maxim Lvovich committed wild fertilism without a statute of limitations, Vitaly Valentinovich was greatly substituted.

He can be said to drive a wedge into the tandem of Christians and the Jews, together and merrily living in modern Russia. He hesitated the scrapers, encroaching on their centuries -old friendship, and few will be surprised if the offended sued him. However, citizens will be even more surprised, if the case comes to the court and they are confiring the unicorn.

However, all this does not matter much. Another thing is important. Casus Milonova is a powerful argument in favor of the abolition of the 282nd article. Proof of its absurdity and impossibility, as Voltaire bequeathed to us, repress alternatively thinking.

Firstly, it is not clear how to determine the concept of "ancestor". How many centuries should be counted back in the district court in order to accurately establish that it was precisely the ancestors of the plaintiffs in the boilers that were not cooked and the wild beasts were not fed. Well, albeit not Christians, but it was in the custom of the ancestors and cannibalism, and other human rights violations. The invited historian will easily convince the court that our ancestors were distinguished by the severity of customs and sharp intolerance in dialogues with other people's tribes, and in their circle. Some to this day they cut the brothers that sometimes is reflected in the sentences of the Hague Tribunal.

Secondly, the State Duma deputy clearly confused the ancient Jews with the ancient Romans, and this is excusable with such workload. Of course, extremist statements in relation to the social group "Peoples of classical antiquity" are also subject to judicial persecution in the Russian Federation, but are such punishments fair? And if Milonov himself does not know who he is talking about, then what will be written in the motivating part of the sentence? It is also clear that the Strasbourg court will justify the innocently victim and force the Russian authorities to pay him a fair amount, and in the era of sanctions every penny on the account.

And finally, thirdly, we recall mercy, which, as you know, is higher than justice. Deputy Milonov is a man famous for his T -shirts with the inscription "Orthodoxy or death", oral statements and bills, and here are just some of them. About the embryos that he wanted to endow the rights of citizens of the Russian Federation. About the hookahs and theories of Darwin, which he urged. About national pride, for the insult of which he proposed to be fined. He dreamed of checking the teachers, whom he, all without exception, dreamed of checking for pedophilia. About New Year's Christmas trees, in which he was seeing a phallic symbol. Well, there is much more so, the column is not rubber.

The question is, is this person worthy of mercy, essentially guilty only in the fact that he was fighting for a colleague Tolstoy, who used to become interested in the ancestors of non -Christ? By the way, the vice -speaker has long forgiven the generous head of Feor Beard - sweeping, on behalf of all Jews. Giving a good example to all of us, the Hellenes and Jews, how to react to the incounding speeches of individual gentlemen, according to which the 282nd article cries with cruel tears. No, they are all worthy of mercy, in the spirit of Voltaire, and we still have to die for a long time, listening to them and defending their rights, but it will have to.
