British singer David Bowie, who died in 2016, was posthumously awarded five Grammy awards.
His song Blackstar won Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song, while his self-titled album won Best Engineering, Best Alternative Album and Best Recording.
Blackstar, Bowie's 25th and final album, was released on January 8, 2016, Bowie's 69th birthday. He died two days later of liver cancer. The album includes seven songs and combines various musical styles, including art rock and avant-garde jazz.
Previously, Bowie's work was nominated 12 times, but he received it only once - in 1985 in the nomination "Best Video".
Bowie was a musician, actor and producer. The composition Space oddity brought him fame. In the 1970s he worked with Queen, John Lennon and other musicians. Some of his most famous works include Ashes To Ashes, China Girl, Life on Mars, Let's Dance, Modern Love, Starman, Heroes and Under Pressure. He is also famous for his roles in The Hunger, Labyrinth, The Man Who Fell to Earth and Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence.
