
The governor of the Ryazan region Oleg Kovalev announced the early resolution of authority, TASS reports . "In the Ryazan region, I worked for almost 9 years. In September, the next election of the governor. I made a decision for myself - not to nominate for a new term," Kovalev said at a meeting of the regional government.
“I believe that I have completed the task that President Putin has set before me. The region is good, developing, he has great potential. The society trusts the authorities. This is confirmed by the election results of all recent years,” Kovalev noted, adding that a resignation statement filed a little over a week ago.
“Since I am one of the most age -related governors in the country, I consider the most correct change of the regional leader right now,” the official emphasized.
Kovalev was born in 1948 in the Krasnodar Territory. In 1991-1999 he headed the Kashirsky district of the Moscow region. In 1999 he was elected State Duma deputy.
Since 2008, he has been the governor of the Ryazan region. In July 2012, he resigned ahead of schedule to participate in the governor's election. On October 14, 2012, in the election of the Governor of the Ryazan Region, he won the first round, gaining 64.43 percent of votes.

Lyubimov was born in 1971 in Kaluga. He graduated from the History Faculty of the Kaluga State Pedagogical Institute with a degree in history teacher and socio-political disciplines, as well as the Moscow Humanitarian and Economic Institute with a degree in jurisprudence.
