The Ministry of Defense announced a tender purchase of more than 20 thousand medals for participants in a military operation in Syria, RIA Novosti writes with reference to public procurement materials.

For medals, insignia, commemorative signs, forms of certificates, connectors and cases and other heraldic products, the department plans to spend 45 million rubles. The same amount includes 20 thousand medals to a “participant in the military operation in Syria” (for a total of 4.455 million rubles), 50 medals “For the Liberation of Palmyra” and 50 - “For Monking Palmyra”, a total of 22 thousand rubles.
