Smolny proposed to remove the University of Leshaft from the street Decembrists

As part of the renovation of North Kolomna, the Urban Planning Committee proposed to transfer the university of physical education named after Lesgaft from the center of St. Petersburg, writes Fontanka.

According to the chairman of the committee Vladimir Grigoryev, 35 plan to equip a new city space at the site of the university building at 35 Decembrists. “The removal of the university, the creation of a large citywide center on its territory with a new function and a new pedestrian space connecting the Decembrist Street with the new Holland,” Grigoryev explained the concept.

At the same time, the official did not specify exactly where they were going to transfer the university building.
