1862. Savva Morozov was born

155 years ago, on February 15, 1862, Savva Timofeevich Morozov, a Russian industrialist and philanthropist, director of the partnership of the Nikolskaya manufactory "Savva Morozova Son and Co." was born. In his factories, he carried out social assistance programs to workers. He assisted the Moscow Art Theater, the poor Moscow students, as well as the liberal and revolutionary parties. At the beginning of 1905, he compiled a note "On the causes of the strike movement", where he demanded the introduction of freedom of speech, press and unions, universal equality, inviolability of the individual and dwelling, compulsory school education and public control over the state budget. He committed suicide in France in May 1905.
