Ukrainians Evgenia Panov and Andrei Zakhetey, who are accused of preparing the “sabotage” in the Crimea, was transferred from Lefortovo to the peninsula. This was announced by RIA Novosti by lawyer Ilya Novikov.
He suggested that the criminal case is close to completion, the defendants would be familiar with his materials in the Crimea.
As Novikov said “Mediazone”, information about the translation of Zakhtei and Panov is unofficial.
“We were not notified that the investigation was over,” the lawyer noted. “I am not even ready to say what will happen to the deadlines.” But it seems that the court will begin in the spring. ”
In January, the Moscow City Court recognized the extension of the arrest to Zakhte and Panov until March 7, recalls the Mediazon. They are accused of preparing sabotage by an organized group.
The FSB in August 2016 reported on the detention of several people who allegedly worked for Ukrainian intelligence in the Crimea. In the video recordings, they confirmed that they acted in the interests of Kiev and intended to arrange sabotage.
Panov and Zakhti complained about torture in the Investigative Committee after the detention. Panov said that he gave confessions under pressure.
Last November, the FSB said that she detained several more participants in the “Group of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine” in Sevastopol, who allegedly planned “sabotage at the military and vital facilities of Crimea”.
