As it became known to Taiga.info, following a meeting chaired by Judge Maya Rutkevich, Aksyonov was transferred from the pre-trial detention center to house arrest for health reasons. Together with him, the preventive measures of other defendants in the case were also changed - top managers of Neograd Oleg Bikbulatov and Natalia Obukhova, who were also in custody. Aksyonov has been in SIZO No. 1 since March 2014.
Earlier, the prosecutor's office established that from August 2007 to February 2014, Neograd-Invest LLC received more than 2 billion rubles from equity holders for the construction of five houses on 5th Brick Hill Street (Zakaminsky microdistrict). The company did not build the planned facilities, stealing about 1 billion rubles for the purchase of securities, the provision of loans and other purposes not related to construction, the investigation believes.
650 people were recognized as victims, and the company went bankrupt . Four leaders were arrested . The case was initiated under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (large-scale fraud). The maximum penalty under this article is 10 years in prison.
The first defendant, Artem Korotkov, former deputy director of finance at Neograd-Invest, has already been found guilty. He cooperated with the investigation and received 4.5 years in prison.
