The Picasso exhibition will be held in the PIMI

In October 2018, at the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin (Physician) will open the exhibition “Pablo Picasso and Olga Khokhlova”, dedicated to the Russian ballerina, the first wife of the artist.

The exhibition will be organized in conjunction with the Barcelona Foundation La Caixa , the memorandum of cooperation of which was signed in Moscow on February 15, the museum’s website reports .

“The exhibition is built on the development of plots related to Olga and thereby in the work of Picasso - from refined portraits and images of motherhood to tragic surrealistic visions. - says in the message of the glow. “The project is dominated by the works of painting and graphs from the collection of the Paris Museum of Picasso, foreign museum and private collections.”

The exposition will also include photos that Olga Khokhlova sent relatives in Russia in the 1920s. Now these photographs are stored in the Foundation of the Pushroom.

Pablo Picasso and Olga Khokhlova will be the first exhibition, which was held by the Plane and the La Caixa Foundation. The possibility of holding in the Moscow Museum of exhibitions of Henri Matisse and Joan Miro, and the La Caixa Foundation plans to show an exhibition on the basis of the Egyptian collection of the PLC in 2021.
