"I hear war"

On February 17, a sound installation about the Second World War will open in the memorial

Today in the international memorial, the interactive Russian-German sound installation "Horchposten 1941 / I hear war" will open.

Installation of German artists Johen Langner and Andreas von Westfalen, brought to Russia by the Fund named after Friedrich Ebert, consists of audio records of personal memories of the war on the Eastern Front, in particular, in the besieged Leningrad and allows you to look at the war through the eyes of a former enemy.

The visitor can hear excerpts voiced by actors from Soviet and German diaries, letters, documents, newspaper articles, reports of the political and military administration of both countries. Formally, the installation is divided into five zones: the Soviet and German rear, the front plus the territory under the control of one and another country, as well as the besieged Leningrad.

In the German rear, you can hear anti -Soviet propaganda or visit the development of the Oste General Plan, in the Soviet rear - the voices of people in the besieged Leningrad.

The opening will be held on February 17, 2017 at 18:00 in the International Memorial (Moscow, Karetny Ryad, 5/10 )
