A resident of Ingushetia was sentenced to two years and two months for running a VKontakte group.

The court sentenced a resident of Ingushetia to two years and two months in a colony-settlement, finding him guilty of publicly justifying terrorism and inciting extremist activities, writes with reference to the press service of the Ingush FSB. Interfax-South

The North Caucasus District Military Court came to the conclusion that a resident of Ingushetia, “A. Aushev, born in 1996”, being the administrator of a group on the social network VKontakte, justified terrorism and called for extremist activities.

The defendant was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code (public justification of terrorism) and Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities) and sentenced to two years and two months in a colony-settlement. According to the Ingush FSB, the defendant fully admitted his guilt and repented of his deed.
