Recall that Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn, who headed Buryatia for almost 10 years, announced his resignation on February 7. The news became unexpected, despite the fact that the dismissal was paid to him for a long time. Nevertheless, the official was defiantly set to run for a new term.
The term of powers of Nagovitsyn as the head of Buryatia ended in the spring, elections were planned for the fall. It seemed that the election campaign in the republic was already starting - this was evident both by the information attack against the head of Buryatia, which was led not by the first month, and the participating in the presence of Nagovitsyn himself in the news agenda.
Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn is 60 years old, he is a graduate of the Tomsk Polytechnic, and most of his working life is associated with the Tomsk region. Since 1998, he worked in the administration of the Tomsk region as deputy governor. In 2007, he was appointed head of Buryatia.
