Three years ago, on February 20, 2014, there was a shooting of Euromaidan in Kyiv. In total, 77 people were killed against President Yanukovych’s policy and for the Ukrainian Association with the European Union; Another 17 people died in hospitals. All of them were considered a hundred heavenly.
Since 2015, February 20 has been celebrated as Heroes of Heavenly Hundred Heroes - “As a sign of respect for the courage, strength of spirit and persistence of citizens who gave their lives during the Revolution of Dignity (November 2013 - February 2014), protecting the ideals of democracy, defending the rights and freedoms of man, the European future of Ukraine.”
During the clashes, 19 police officers were also killed. Snipers are accused of shooting from among Yanukovych special units, but there are still no convicted in the case of the EURMIDAN execution.
