Previously, he shared this title with the head of the Sparta battalion by Motorola-for the television channels, the militants were an personification, a symbol of military operations in the Donbass, which were supported by Russian “vacationers”, military, who, in a voluntary and compulsory manner, went to war. A few days after the interview, Givi was killed in his office from the Bumblebee flamethrower. Surrounded by the commander, they explained that after the murder of Motorola, Mikhail Tolstoy felt - he was waiting for the same fate and intended to move with his family in Transnistria. Even earlier, several prominent field commanders were killed in the self -proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic (LPR). In their deaths, Ukrainian DRGs also blamed. At the same time, it is known that the Lugansk leaders of the separatist battalions were conflicting with the head of the LPR Igor Plotnitsky. Mikhail Tolstoy with the “president” of the self -proclaimed DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, did not argue, but all field commanders had a small “business” in the spirit of the dashing nineties - they roofed entrepreneurs, traded metal from the stopped factories. The resources in the DPR are becoming less and less, and the struggle for them worsened. Finally, there is a version according to which the most famous field commanders destroy the Kremlin, which has long been disappointed in plans to annex the rebellious Ukrainian territory. Shortly before the death of Givi, the “first chapter” of the self -proclaimed LPR Valery Bolotov died in Moscow, his wife immediately announced poisoning. The official version is “acute heart failure”.

Combat at rest

In 2014, the Strelkov group took a relatively small city of Slavyansk, and then moved to Donetsk. “Minister of Defense” Igor Strelkov stayed for several months. Then, according to the recognition of the Russian political strategist and the ex-“DPR Premiere” Alexander Boroday, the commander had to be almost connected to Russia. Moscow wanted to freeze the situation in the Donbass, and Strelkov intended to move on - to expand Novorossia to Odessa and Kharkov. Now the field commander lives in Moscow, and his political preferences have undergone cardinal changes in three years: in 2014–2015, he praised Vladimir Putin and called for rally around him. Gradually, Igor Strelkov began to criticize the President of the Russian Federation for inattention to New Russia and the future of the “Russian world”; Now the statements of the former commander of the "DPR troops" are clearly anti -Putin. For example, in one of the parables, which loves to publish in social networks a retired field commander, Joseph Stalin invites Putin to jump from the bell tower of Ivan the Great and promises to find a better ruler for Russia. Another target for Strelkovsky criticism is the head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko.

“Frankly, I despise this cheap clown - Pan Zakharchenko - that I am disgusted with commenting on his next word -block. It’s good that there is someone to do it competently instead of me, ”says the former field commander.

The shooters did not refuse the idea of ​​New Russia and even wrote a pre -election program for the election of the president of the state of his dreams. He promises independent courts, nationalization, a ban on abortion. At the same time, Igor Strelkov believes that the head of the new country should rule only once for a period of four years “with the possibility of extending for two years according to the results of the people's referendum”. It is predictable that the Nationalist Strelkov would completely want to ban the entry of labor migrants. True, Strelkov did not ask Policy in Russia: he did not exclude that he would create a party with Professor Stepan Sulakshin, the former ideologist of ex-head of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin, the creator of the “First-Called Glory” Foundation and the Center for National Glory, but Sulakshin chose to cooperate with Vyacheslav Maltsev (a politician and a blogger from Saratov, ex -andidate in deputies Duma from the party Parnassus. “Stepan Stepanovich from possible associates“ delete ”... The Novorossia movement created by Rifleov is now conducting a virtual existence, its own “Committee of January 25”, which included several famous Russian nationalists, broke up, and did not do anything.

Another famous field commander Igor Bezler, who now lives with his wife in the Crimea, moved away. He, like Igor Strelkov, scolds on social networks the new leadership of the “people's republics”, for example, Alexander Zakharchenko calls only “degeneral”.

Leaders of battalions of militants who died and voluntarily left the Donbass, other people began to replace, in the southeast of Ukraine, however, long ago. The writer Zakhar Prilepin announced the creation of his battalion. He said that back in December last year he received the extraordinary title of “Major of the DPR troops”, and in the new battalion plans to work as a political instructor. The writer, TV presenter and musician already had the status of adviser Alexander Zakharchenko, and on his television programs “Tea with Zakhar” (“Tsargrad TV”) and “Salt” (REN TV) always asked musicians about their attitude to the situation in the Donbass.

“The phrase was formulated in my head:“ The special forces of Russian literature is behind us. ” Of course, we had an idea that Gumilyov served somewhere, Leo Tolstoy ... But in fact, this list is huge. In Russia, since the 18th century, I have counted more than a hundred poets and writers in whom life was directly related to military service. In our country, the impostors of Russian literature began to prove that the Russian writer is such an Isusik on thin legs, which always speaks of the tears of the child and other touching things, ”Prilepin explained his motives in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda. With a lecture on “officers and militias” of Russian literature, Prilepin tours in Russia, the nearest speech - very soon at the State Historical Museum in Moscow.

In an interview, the new political instructor of the DPR calls his goal Kyiv and, in general, in the declared intentions more reminiscent of Strelkov and Motorola than cautious officials of the DPR. “The media image of Prilepin in camouflage, his rhetoric is close to Motorol. The commanders need to replace someone, ”says one of the political strategists familiar with the situation in the Donbass. Igor Strelkov also believes. “Major” Prilepin clearly seeks to take the “vacant place of the media hero”, which was freed after the murders of Motorola and Givi. With the same success in another situation, he could (die at the same time Pugachev, Kirkorov, Galkin and Petrosyan) to become the king of pop. The main thing is nothing to show yourself, the main thing is to always be in sight and hang out more abruptly. All commanders of the first wave were killed - why not “inherit” their glory on the eve of the inevitable upcoming battle? ” - asserts the retired "Minister of Defense of the DPR."

Political scientist Alexei Makarkin expects a possible aggravation: “Attention to Prilepin’s departure, in my opinion, fits into the general context of pressure on Ukraine so that it allocated troops from the Donetsk -Gorlovka road. And at the same time it is a signal to the West so that it presses on Ukraine. And then new volunteers will go, and a large -scale war will begin, ”said Makarkin NT.

Intellectuals: an ambush regiment

Russian TV actively practices the topic of exacerbation of the situation in the Donetsk region. Ukraine even squeezed Donald Trump into the talk show. But the printed and electronic media, which were in the course of the first Russian Spring, an important channel for the spread of agitmaterials about the atrocities of punishers and the heroic struggle of the militias, are still preferred to stay away.

The “Opinions” section in the Izvestia newspaper in 2014 was almost entirely devoted to the events in the Donbass. Eduard Limonov, Yegor Kholmogorov, Plato Besedin, Maxim Sokolov wrote about the war there. Now this section is fully reformatted - officials and political scientists who prefer to talk about international politics are its Columnists.

Izvestia went out of the wing of Aram Gabrelyanov last year. Some of the Columnists from Izvestia then migrated to Life (the most famous of them, perhaps, is Edward Limonov). Donbass, however, for Life is not the main topic at all: Givi is dedicated to one column, Zakhara Prilepin, too.

Former deputy head of Izvestia, Boris Mezhuev, who led the Izvestin “opinions”, last year launched his own site “Um Plus”, where almost all of its former authors are printed. But there, the topic of Donbass is now present in very moderate doses. Even the Tsargrad television channel, which is owned by the oligarch Konstantin Malofeev, who took an active part in the “Russian Spring”, and his editor -in -chief Alexander Dugin and Donbass will not be zealous. Dugin himself now prefers to talk about new conservatism and in almost every issue of his program “Directive” recalls Donald Trump.

“The swamp gradually becomes not just a metaphor, but an important political science symbol. In the Russian context, it collectively means the fifth and the sixth column of Russian oppositionists who went to Bolotnaya Square. But really this term has acquired meaning in Trump's election campaign. He suggested draining the swamp, understanding by this the removal of a group of supporters of liberal globalization from the authorities, which, in fact, has long seized power in America. The swamp, therefore, is a transnational network of supporters of the world government, which strives to establish global hegemony in the interests of transnational corporations, ”Dugin argues in the usual expressions in one of the author’s programs.

A person who is called the “ideologist of the“ Russian spring ”scolds official TV, but again, not for a decrease in interest in“ New Russia ”. “I got the impression that the leadership of the Russian media is somehow unjustified from time to time. Trump's factor is completely uncomfortable. There is no analysis of the consequences of Brexit for European politics and a sharp rise in EuroSrkeptics, which have become serious force from yesterday’s marginals, ”complains Dugin.

Alexey Makarkin, however, believes that "Ukraine does not disappear from the media." “We can talk about some regrouping and adjustments, but nothing more,” the political scientist notes in a conversation with NT. “Some authors leave, others come, but act in about one direction.” An indirect confirmation of these words can be considered the renewal of the issue of the Russian Reporter magazine, which is part of the expert media holding. Vyacheslav Leibin, the chief editor of the “reporter”, is from the Donbass and actively supported the “republics”. He also appears as the author of several propaganda initiatives and in the reduced last fall correspondence of Vladislav Surkov ( see NT No. 41–42 of December 19, 2016 ). Moreover, in that part, which is considered to be genuine.

But in general, the trend is obvious: whatever the Kremlin’s plans regarding the New Russia's project, the Russian authorities are not needed now too aggressive propagandists who call “punish punches” and take Kyiv. And the "republics" are too bright and poorly amenable to control field commanders.
