With Stalin in the heart

On February 15, Levada-Center presented the results of a survey dedicated to the attitude of Russians to the rulers of Russia. Sokralymans began to treat Stalin better, love Putin and Brezhnev, they cannot stand Yeltsin and especially Gorbachev

Let's start with the murderer. Lenin is positively treated (“with admiration”, “with respect”, “with sympathy”) 44%of the respondents (in April 2001-60%), negatively (“with hostility”, “with fear”, “with disgust”, “with hatred”)-10%. Stalin loves 46%, in 2001 there were 38%of them, but the fifth (21%) hates.

However, with those who opened the doors of the camps-as Khrushchev did in the 1950s and Gorbachev in the late 1980s-the situation is much worse.

If almost half (45%) of the respondents is quite indifferent to Khrushchev, then Gorbachev cannot stand 46%, and only 8%are grateful to him - 15 years ago there were exactly twice as much. But his predecessor (after a couple of carriages) Leonid Brezhnev almost does not cause negative feelings: 9% versus 14% at the beginning of Putin's rule. Although just during the years of his reign “meat was not in one store, and fish on the contrary,” and the country climbed into a monstrous Afghan war, which cost 13 thousand lives.

Love for murderers and bloodsuckers is by no means an exceptional feature of fellow citizens. A similar property of the survey was conducted in post -war West Germany: in 1948, the Germans, who survived the defeat in the war, who lost millions of lives and saw only horror around themselves, to the question of sociologists, what regime they would prefer, put the Kaiser Vilgelm II in the first place, overthrown 30 years before. With a stretch, but this is some analogue of Brezhnev - hungry, not very fun, but more or less calm. But the second choice of surveyed three years after the fall of the Third Reich was amazing - yes, Adolf Hitler. However, after 24 years, in 1972, in a similar survey, the Germans of the Fuhrer no longer remembered, and the democratic republic was called the preferred form of the regime: denazification had its fruits.

In Russia, there was not only no decommunization, but immigrants from the institute came to power in the 2000s, who was a beneficiary under Stalin and Brezhnev, and the losers under Khrushchev, Gorbachev and Yeltsin. It is the views of this institute, the KGB, Lubyanka, that the propagandists express on all federal television channels without exception. And this is reflected in polls.

However, this is half a bastard. The trouble that polls record imperial, conservative views among those who were born after the end of the USSR are among students of elite state Moscow universities -
MGIMO, Moscow State University, HSE. And this indicates the complete failure of humanitarian education in universities, the most caressed by money.

Is it worth it to be surprised that at the same time the famous European University in St. Petersburg, from which a license can be selected on March 2, will be spread rot.
