The ECHR awarded 68 thousand euros to a resident of Ingushetia after the abduction of her son

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ordered Russia to pay 68 thousand euros a resident of Ingushetia Marzhan Kushtova as a compensation in the case of the disappearance of her son in 2006. It is reported by "Interfax."

On January 25, 2006, Ibrahim Kushtova was stopped by traffic police near the city of Magas. The man was forcibly transferred into the car to unknown armed people. After that, no one saw him.

Relatives of the missing person believe that he was abducted by employees of Russian law enforcement agencies in order to force him to give up his brother, who was then wanted on charges of terrorism.

After consideration of the complaints, Marzhan Kushtova, after consideration of the complaint, came to the conclusion that the right to life, the right to freedom and personal integrity, the right to effective means of legal protection and an article by the European Convention, prohibiting torture were violated in relation to a woman and her son.
