Interview: "More than 40% of frauds are made on the Internet"

In 2016, more than 50 thousand criminal cases on fraud were instituted in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Of these, 959 criminal cases - in "cell" fraud, 1 thousand 661 - on fraud over the Internet.

87 criminal cases were associated with the removal of damage or fortune -telling. In Lesosibirsk, the pensioner gave fraudsters all her savings - 1 million 700 thousand rubles. And in Krasnoyarsk, fraudsters took 275 thousand rubles from a pensioner under the guise of social workers .

In order not to become a victim of scammers on the Internet, Natalya Yudaeva calls not to rush to part with money, without making sure as a product and its availability.

“When buying via the Internet, in any case, you should ask to send the goods, see it, and only then transfer the money, making sure of its quality,” Yudaeva advises.
