Viktor Rybin from Dune: “We are like Rolling Stones!”

Last weekend at the Yotaspace club, the Dune group celebrated the 30th anniversary-the most famous musical team from the city of Dolgoprudny near Moscow. Now the “dune” is associated with a good-natured and foolish poppy from the 90s, with “greetings from the Big Baudun”, with the comic panamas of its participants and with the gait of the collapse of the frontman Viktor Rybin. Few people will believe that the Dune began its musical career with an art clock, that one of its first participants was the guitarist-virtuos Dmitry Quadlov, and a group of Dolgoprudny committed a sharp turn to the pop clowning after Larisa Dolina performed her song. Denis Boyarinov discussed with Viktor Rybin the story of the Dunes and how she conquered the Soviet and post-Soviet show business.

"Dune" - "Lemonia Country"

- On Wikipedia it is written that before you sing in the Dune, you were its director. This is true?

- Yes, I have never been a director. Everyone is written on the Internet. Seryozha Katin and I created a team, then they began to look for musicians, because we decided that we were not playing in high (laughing) . The musicians were recruited - guitarist Dima Thursday, drummer Andrei Shatunovsky. They were all the stars then - it was impossible to cope with them. Undisciplined and naughty! Then Serge and I dispersed everyone and remained together. Since I played the drums better than on the guitar, I sat down at the shock unit. And we sang with him together. The songs were also recorded together - themselves at the studio. They took only a session guitarist, and that’s all.

So I was not an administrator, just Seryoga wrote songs, and I spun them - I ran along the record studios, all -Union television and radio. Well it was 1987! By current standards, I was a producer.

And the Dun group is a movie and a circus together.

- Tell us how you pushed the songs in 1987.

-At first it was necessary to go somewhere to work. We entered the Moscow Regional Philharmonic. We had to take a concert program. Together we would not have handed it over, so we called our original rocker composition - Dima Thursday, Andrei Chepelenko, Andrei Rublev, on Vokal. They passed, as I remember now, in the House of Culture "rubber". We were listened with a clever look by the commission. She noted the work of the drummer and texts (laughs) . We entered the Philharmonic and began to work: the main program was performed by Sasha Serov, and we were on the warm -up, then we played with Pasha Laughter and the Dr. Watson group - remember this? Sometimes we turned on the TV - and suddenly we see: in the program “Musical Ring” Larisa Dolina performs our song “Lemonia Country”.

- How did it happen?

- I was very surprised when I saw it. He began to call Serega. He told me: “Vitya, she took the song without demand” (laughs) . And it turned out that he lied to me. He himself slipped her-she even performed her with our rock science. But with Larisa Valley, because of this, we had constant scandals-until the end of the 90s. At the meeting, we hated each other fiercely (laughs) .

After a couple of days, we went to the studio and rewrote the “country of lemon” in a deadless arrangement. With balalaikas, etc. Then I realized that I had to shove. He began with the radio - in the Soviet Union such a youthful musical station "Youth". Her editor Natasha Mogilovskaya calls me once and says: “Victor, tomorrow morning you will wake up famous! Your song will sound on the morning air of the Youth radio station. ” We were so delighted, but not the figs woke up by the famous (laughs) .

Then we remembered the words of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, who wrote that for our people the most important of the arts are cinema and circus. And the Dun group is a movie and a circus together. Looking at the foreign MTV , we began to shoot clips. They themselves found a camera, found a film themselves, showed themselves, they themselves were mounted. It was 1989. When the 2x2 commercial television channel appeared in Moscow, and we already had three clips: “Lemonia Country”, “Dai-Dai” and “Company”. I arrived at the channel, brought clips - they say to us: pay the money. Well, well, I paid money - and our clips began to twist every day. And then people liked them, because at the same time the clips “Na-on” and “Domino” were spinning with us. They spun even more often - apparently, they paid more money. But who will remember Domino now? Although their music was decent - such a Phil Collins in Soviet performance.

- So, and you woke up famous?

- Yes, everything rolled - dating went. The next step was the appearance in the program “Song of the Year”. She did not belong to anyone then. It was the central television of the Soviet Union. The main director of the program was Viktor Cherkasov - he liked our songs. He put us in two programs in a row. This was enough for the whole country to find out about you. Popular gear, main button. And then we were twisted by the youth edition of Central Television. There was a program “up to 16 and older” - such an advanced one, such as the View program, but for the young. There were two of our friends - Kolya Silaev and Kolya Korovin. They were imbued with our muzon - we did not pay them money (laughs) .

- Larisa Dolina still performed your song "Russian People".

- It was the second song that we recorded after the Lemonia country. We even have a clip for it - there the electric train is traveling there. For some reason, Sereg and I decided to record such a conceptual thing, complex. But we were sometimes asked to even fulfill it at concerts (laughs) .

-The early songs of the “dunes” were quite conceptual-such satirical sketches of post-perestroika reality, and according to your clips, you can imagine everyday life in the 90s.

- Yes, we had a clear satire at first. Then I decided to alleviate our music. Songs like “Borka-Babnik” and “Sea of ​​Beer” went. Then the "communal apartment" came out - and that’s it! These songs took root - and the image of the "dune" was created. I decided that since we earn money with music - we must live according to the laws of commercial creativity.

We did everything intuitively. I managed to guess the songs that were by the time. Now I can’t guess. Now everything has changed. Nobody needs satirical songs. Now another humor.

- Why aren't you needed? Here Sergey Shnurov makes satirical songs about the current society, as the Dune once did, and everything was in order with Leningrad.

- Well, what a humor it is! Leningrad has everything seriously. Seryoga is such a man!

In general, the reboot of the Dun group did not work. So, she was not needed. We are like Rolling Stones or even Pink Floyd ! We do not have to change (laughs) .

We had successful songs over the years, and then I matured. A man with whom I can sing romantic songs appeared next to me - and it turned out. Our duet with Natasha (Senchukova, the wife of Victor Rybin. - Ed. ) Went. We now have concerts, to which they invite Dune only with Natasha.

Well, what a humor it is! Leningrad has everything seriously.

-“Dune” was in the early 1990s one of the most popular groups. Have to sing for the lads?

-Well, the lads ... for someone they were bandits, and I grew up with them in the same yard and studied at the same school. He lived in the same city and still live-someone still survived. They already played out in the war among themselves. And then it was impossible to separate good from the bad - we were one society. And the youth, unfortunately, dreamed of growing and becoming bandits. There was such a time. But I remember it only good - I do not regret anything. I recall my childhood and my youth with joy. Everything was fine in the Soviet Union! We were proud of our homeland and October pioneerism. We are guys from the 60s, strong! (Laughs.)

- The anniversary concert "Dunes" is called "30 best songs in 30 years."

- This is in my opinion. I chose.

- The song "Anashik" will sound?

- No, it will not sound (laughs) . I consider her short -sighted. Remember how in “About the poor hussar put the word” Leonov shouted: “Carried away!”. Well then, such a time was maximalism in actions. The society was saturated with something like that ... you know, “the worse, the better” (laughs) . But she is even without a mat!
