Lawyer Vadim Prokhorov filed an application for the assassination attempted murder of the coordinator of the open Russia Vladimir Kara-Murza the Younger. The lawyer published a copy of the document on his page.
Prokhorov asks the TFR to check the circumstances of the poisoning of Kara-Murza, after which he in serious condition went to the hospital and fell into a coma. The lawyer emphasized that close Kara-Murzes believe that poisoning was intentional.
“This statement about the crime, it, unfortunately, is in many ways repeating the one that we have already submitted to the UK in the name of Bastrykin on the last statement, we even in essence received no answer,” Prokhorov said . “We demand to check the circumstances of the case and initiate the case under Article 105 through the 30th, that is, this is an attempt on the murder.”
On Sunday, Kara-Murza flew abroad to take a rehabilitation course, accompanied by his wife Eugene and a medic. “Volodya specifically asked to convey to all friends, colleagues and associates that he would definitely continue to do the same as in recent years: activities aimed at restoring democracy in Russia. This fully concerns the Magnitsky act, which could be one of the reasons for its current and previous poisonings,” Pokhorov wrote then.
On February 2, Kara-Murza was taken to the intensive care unit of the 7th Moscow City Hospital. It was also connected to hemodialysis apparatus of artificial ventilation. For several days the patient remained in critical condition. It was noted that the symptoms are similar to those that were observed in May 2015, when the functionary fell into intensive care with renal failure and poisoning .
On February 4, it became known that the Khamovnican regional department of the metropolitan head of the Investigative Committee began a check in connection with the disease of Kara-Murza .
On February 6, doctors made Kara-Murza the diagnosis of " acute intoxication by an unidentified substance ." On the same day, the patient was disconnected from hemodialysis, as his kidneys earned. Nevertheless, Kara-Murza remained in an artificial coma.
On February 9, Prokhorov said that Kara-Murza left a coma. "The heart function has almost completely restored, hemodialysis is disconnected, during some periods of time, Volodya is complete without a compulsory ventilation apparatus, although it has not yet been completely turned off," the lawyer wrote.
The next day, the lawyer said that the threat of the patient’s life has passed . Doctors assessed the state of Kara-Murza no longer critical, but as a serious one. “At the same time, he has a long rehabilitation process. After the past poisoning, he learned to go again for several months and could only walk without a stick after a year,” the lawyer noted.
Law enforcement agencies monitor the situation, Prokhorov said. In addition to the investigator from the Investigative Department in the Khamovniki district, where the first statement on the poisoning of Kara-Murza is located, the investigator and district police officer at the place of residence of the victim were associated with the lawyer.
The reason for the poisoning of Kara-Murza remains unknown, the lawyer noted. Prokhorov said that the analyzes will be explored by French and Israeli toxicologists. “The tests are made, as I understand it, not quickly. In any case, for more than one week,” he said.
In December 2015, after the first hospitalization, Kara-Murza addressed the chairman of the TFR Alexander Bastrykin with a demand to investigate his poisoning. He insisted that he was attempted for political activity. In support of his statement, the functionary attached the conclusion of the French toxicologist Pascal Kinz. According to Kara-Murza, "apparently, difficult substances were used, which usually has access to either special services or from immigrants from special services." It was later reported that four heavy metal refers - their concentration in the patient’s body turned out to be much higher than the maximum permissible norm.
