
In the suburbs, law enforcement agencies detained the creator of the movement "against slavery" by Oleg Melnikov on suspicion of organizing illegal migration. At the same time, the activist, who previously headed the Alternative movement , who became famous after the liberation of the "Golyanovsky slaves" , has been fighting against illegal migration in the Russian Federation for many years.
As Melnikov "Mediazone" said, another activist of the "against slavery" movement was also detained with him. At the time of the conversation with the journalist, the police filled out documents to initiate a criminal case against Melnikov under an article on the organization of illegal migration, which provides for the punishment of up to five years in prison.
The activist explained that earlier on Wednesday to the plant in the suburbs, where there were four illegal migrants, who were assisted by the movement “against slavery”, people in the uniform, which introduced the FMS employees, arrived.
According to Melnikov, he, along with like -minded people, arranged a shelter in the warehouse of the industrial zone. “Four people lived there who were released from slavery. We gave them a temporary asylum to live with us,” he explained (quote for RBC ).

Melnikov, along with another activist of movement and four illegal migrants, was taken to the police department. While there, he tried to explain to law enforcement officers that people lived at the factory, since they had nowhere to go. “Here we were told that fairy tales were already heard,” Melnikov remarked.
In the Department of Internal Affairs in Krasnogorsk, reporters confirmed Melnikov’s detention and another five people. According to the employee of the duty unit, activists were brought to the interrogator survey.
