Actor Alexei Petrenko died

Theater and film actor Alexei Petrenko died at the age of 78. This is stated on the website of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.

“The Union of Cinematographers of Russia grieves along with the relatives and friends of the outstanding Russian actor Alexei Petrenko. Colleagues of Alexei Vasilyevich bring sincere condolences to his relatives, ”it was said.

The cause of death in the Union was not specified.

The actor has more than 70 roles. In particular, he played in the films “Cruel Romance” (1984), “Musketeers twenty years later” (1992), “Dr. Zhivago” (2006), “bury me behind the plinth” (2009) and “Burnt by the Sun 2” (2010).

Petrenko was born on March 23, 1938. He graduated from the Kharkov Theater Institute, played at the Zaporizhzhya Musical and Dramatic Theater named after Schors, in the Donetsk Regional Russian Drama Theater in Mariupol, at the Lensovet Theater, in the Moscow Theater on Malaya Bronnaya and Moscow Art Theater.
