
In the center of Kyiv, on the day of the resistance of the Crimea of the Russian occupation, a crowded march of solidarity with the Crimean Tatar people was held. It is reported by Ukrainian Pravda.
Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian activists, as well as representatives of the Azerbaijani community, went to the march. The demonstrators gathered on the alley of the Heroes of Heavenly Hundreds and proceeded with the streets of Institutskaya, Silkovny and Grushevsky to European Square, and from there on Khreshchatyk to Independence Square.
The audience carried the Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian flags and portraits of citizens of Ukraine, which, after Russian invasion of Crimea, were killed, missed or were imprisoned on fabricated charges. Some of the activists moved in front of the column on motorcycles.
A rally took place on Independence Square. Among the speakers were the chairman of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, chairman of the board of the Crimean Tatar resource center Escender Bariev, the mufti of the spiritual administration of the Muslims of Ukraine "UMMA" Said Ismagilov.
In his speech, Chubarov called on the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the Verkhovna Rada to accelerate the adoption of amendments to the Constitution, according to which, in exchange for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of central subordination of Sevastopol, a single region - the Crimean Tatar Autonomous Republic should be formed.

Three years ago, on February 26, 2014, in Simferopol, the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea hosted a rally of supporters of Euromaidan, which mainly participated in Crimean Tatars. At the same time, pro -Russian forces arranged their rally at the same place.
