Aeroflot plane's engine caught fire while taking off from Zurich. The plane returned safely

The passenger airliner A321 of the Russian airline Aeroflot made an emergency landing at Zurich airport. Before that, the plane had been running out of fuel near the airport for two hours.

Flight SU2391 departed from Zurich for Moscow at 15:15 Moscow time, but shortly after takeoff, according to airport officials, an “unforeseen situation” arose on board.

According to planespotters observing the plane, the plane's left engine caught fire.

Aeroflot representatives said the passengers would be transported to Moscow on a night flight departing at 00:35 Moscow time. No reason has been given for the incident.
