
In the Altai Territory, after four days of waiting for freedom, activist Ildar Dadin was released: the Supreme Court abolished the sentence on him on February 22, and all this time in IK-5 were waiting for documents. He is the only one who has been sentenced to the real term under the new article 212.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for repeated violation of the procedure for holding public actions.
The decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation on the immediate release of Dadin marked "urgently" was received by IK-5 in Rubtsovsk on February 26, according to the press of the colony office on the document, TASS reports. The press bureaus of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) said that Dadin was released from the colony as soon as a decision of the Supreme Court was received in a correctional institution.

Ildar Dadin thanked everyone who supported him: "My wife (Anastasia Zotova) sometimes said in his hearts that there was no civil society in Russia. If he had not been, then I would probably no longer. Thank you, honest people, I love you."
On the website of Novaya Gazeta published a photo of Ildar at the exit from the colony. He was met by a wife, sister, activists of the local "Yabloko" and a dozen journalists.

I do not understand how you can be a person and no tomorrow. I don’t understand how to turn off this path and do not regret. About the time spent in the colony, Dadin said that “years you will not return, but this is an invaluable experience”: “I understood with my mind, if I want to change my life in Russia for the better, I have to see from the inside that you need to change. The judges who break people's lives , it would be nice to send them to such places so that they understand what they condemn people.”

The Reuters agency, in his message about the liberation of Dadin, indicates that he was sentenced to conclude "for a series of peaceful single protests against the Kremlin authorities."
The day before, representatives of the Altai Public Supervisory Commission informed reporters that Dadina would be released from the colony after the FSIN officers would receive official paper from the Supreme Court to cancel his sentence. During the meeting, Dadin himself said that when the decision of the Upper Service was announced, the colony officers left the room for video communication, and therefore did not hear the decisions .
The Supreme Court decided to cancel the sentence to Dadin on February 22. The judges decided that there was no corpus delicti in the case. During the consideration of his case, the Supreme Court indicated that at the time of the establishment against Dadin of the criminal case under Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, administrative decisions on violations at rallies did not enter into force.
After the decision of the Supreme Court, Zotov suggested that he and Dadin could go abroad : “I’m afraid that they would be released, and the next day they would arrest him again. I already saw how it happens when a person is being planted and torture for nothing. I don’t want so much more.”
In December 2015, Dadin was found guilty of committing a crime under the new article of the Criminal Code of numerous administrative violations during mass protests. He was sentenced to three years in prison, later the punishment was reduced to 2.5 years. Dadin became the first and so far the only convict under this article after its appearance in the new edition of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in the summer of 2014.
The Constitutional Court, which assessed the new article of the Criminal Code, recognized it not the contradictory Constitution of the Russian Federation, but recommended legislators to finalize it.
