In a few days, the millionth city turned into a massacre. Wound animals are hiding in the yards in the courtyards in the courtyards, residents are afraid to let their dogs out into the streets. There are not enough places for overexposure of the wounded dogs, and information about them is still acting continuously. Animal killers continue their terrible raid. The police and the prosecutor's office are silent, there is no help from the Dagestan authorities.

The causes of the death of the child will become known only after the results of the forensic medical examination, which will be ready only in March. Dagestanis did not wait for March. Groups appeared in social networks in which residents were called to kill dogs. And the mayor of the city Musa Musaev directly stated: “Our main task is to ensure the safety of the Makhachkala residents and guests of the capital, and we must solve it by directing maximum efforts to this and using any available resources.”

After that, a massacre began in the city.

- Where? The exact address? Wait, I'm leaving, - Olga Vyatkina, a fragile young girl in the last months of pregnancy, turns to me, simultaneously dialing a taxi number. - Irchie Cossack Street, center is the same. The wounded dog is bleeding, two puppies.

Olga and I, the head of the Makhachkala Center Zoeolife, one of the main Dagestan organizations to protect animals, run out of her office. All week after the death of schoolgirls every day Olga and her colleagues receive dozens of calls with reports of wounded animals. Young people on expensive cars randomly shoot dogs throughout the city: from injuries, shotgun, firearms. The survivors are finished off with sticks, stones and reinforcement. Dogs, which after the injury managed to escape, die a long and painful death. Wounds are emphasized in a cruel character. There are cases when their feet are cut off.

“The woman called us last night, says the dog is bleeding under her house, whining,” says Olga along the way.

- First, the dog was shot in the jaw, crushed the bones. Then they shot the lung right around. But the dog could breathe and lived. We took her to the veterinary clinic, did the operation until three in the morning. Saved.

But all hands are not enough. There is only one veterinarian who collaborates with us. He makes his work for a symbolic fee, but we must search for medicines and pay for them, ”says Olga.

... On the sidewalk near the roadway of the Cossack street, in front of the entrance with an unfinished brick ten -story building is a young girl in a black hijab.

- I am Amina, I called you. She went to work and saw her, and in the basement the puppies howl. Hungry. -A little at a distance in the dust lies a large black-red dog. Wool sticking up with blood, two bullet holes under the spatula and in the stomach, red eyes. - It turns out that she has been injured for several days. People who live here did not know what to do, to whom to contact. The dog is afraid of everyone and does not let him in. Apparently, he is preparing to die. How you will catch, I can’t imagine. She doesn’t even allow puppies ...

We are trying to get close to the dog, she gets on his feet heavily and begins to go towards the courtyards, leaving bloody traces. What to do, Olga does not know, because the dog is large, and the pregnant girl will not cope with her, and the dog is afraid even more men: they shot.

“Here she is not one wounded, they shot another to death,” a local resident Ahmed passes by. - At 6 in the morning I woke up - they shoot. I look out the window: the guys are young, we arrived on black jeeps and scorching the dogs already from the hard drive. So they shot, even got someone's car. The neighbors came out, outraged. And these say: "We can, the city hall gave good." We got into their jeeps and drove off.

All eyewitnesses of the massacre tell about armed guys on expensive cars.

Makhachkalinites outraged that dog killers consider themselves good from the authorities to unpunished sadism and act with ostentatious bravado.

Almost immediately after the start of dog hunting, amateur murder videos began to appear on the Internet. Not everyone will have the strength to watch them to the end, but even from a few minutes there is a feeling that people who remove them perceive the murders of dogs as a holiday and entertainment. Here is one of them: on the screen are several dozen corpses of dogs dumped in a pile. The orders of voice, boastfully laughing, says: “I guys worked hard tonight. Now the clients are sunbathing. And you sleep calmly, we will do everything. ”

Both Zoolayif volunteers and eyewitnesses to the Sadist’s actions repeatedly called the police. Despite the fact that such murders fall under an article about cruelty to animals, the police do not even register the calls. Nevertheless, about a thousand people turned to the police to the police.

“Let's catch the puppies and try to lure the dog with them,” Olga says with difficulty climbing over heaps of construction debris. After forty -shock unsuccessful attempts to catch a wounded dog, she in despair crushes black nylon tights in her hands. - There was no leash with me, so I picked them up, I thought instead of putting on a dog instead of a collar.

Fluffy large puppies, similar to cubs, at the sight of people with a deafening screech rush away.

- They also tried to kill them, saved a dirty basement. They hid, and these sadists did not want to climb, get dirty, and then get dirty salons of their cars, ”says Elmira, the saleswoman of a neighboring meat shop. “I know this dog for two years, I already have been obeying four generations of her puppies, I feed them, like all the neighbors.” Good, affectionate dog. I would have taken home, but for my small apartment it is too big.

Following Olga, all new people, Zolaif’s volunteers, approach the street of the Cossack. In general, the center is Olga and several of her friends, but, according to her, Zooolif can always count on sympathetic people who will break from home at any time, come to any part of the city, help to catch an animal that needs help, take it to a veterinary clinic, and then find a place for overexposure.

Fatima is one of them. To the place where we caught a wounded dog, she arrived immediately after Olga’s call. Its new beige BMW stood out against a bunch of construction waste.

“I brought the blankets so that it was easier to put the dog in the trunk,” Fatima opened the perfectly clean empty trunk. After an hour and a half, we still managed to catch the dog, wrap it in a blanket, put on a leash and a muzzle. While the puppies crawled along the leather salon, Fatima helped carry the dog into the courtyard of a veterinary clinic.

In the small veterinarian "Dagvet" was operated on in the early morning.

“We already have nine firearms, you are tenths,” the nurse said exhaustedly. The wounded dogs were operated on and treated for free.

A man turned into the center who walked his dog in the evening when an unfamiliar person ran up to them, shot at the dog point -blank and disappeared. “The bullet remained in my head, from any movement of the dog it can shift and hurt the brain,” says Elmira. - It is now impossible to predict the fate of the dog. The dog is terribly tormented, its owner fell ill after an experienced shock. The dog brought his daughter to the veterinarian. ”

Elmira herself helps Zooolif for several years. She is 30, she has her own small jewelry shop.

“How it all started, she abandoned all her affairs, like many of our volunteers,” she says. -

We are all in the elbow in the blood, all daylight hours on the exits. We find wounded animals, treat, take a doctor, look for overexposure.

Yesterday I left the clinic at 5 in the morning.

“We need an X -ray vital,” Olga says. - Now we agree with private offices and secretly do an X -ray there at night. Today, one seriously wounded dog was taken. Her wounds are through, we are going to conduct an examination in order to legally be able to force the Investigative Committee to institute criminal proceedings and begin the search for these sadists.

In the courtyard of the clinic, there were several more animals. One dog was operated on, the other made a hemostatic injection. Above a large beautiful dog, his mistress was worried about, an elderly woman in a green scarf. The dog had two injuries, one between the eyes, the second in the stomach.

“You look, if you hit the eyes, then they called him, and he, a trusting fool, went,” sapyat wailed. - We took him in the shelter a couple of years ago. Affectionate, good dog. Last night went for a walk. He ran after some dog. I didn’t even look, he does so often, always returns. And in the morning he barely crawled in the blood. We live between Makhachkala and Caspian, in a small village. There everyone knows each other, dogs, consider, we have common. Nobody would have acted from ours. So there were visiting people. We specially arrived to kill.

As immediately after the death of the girl, the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the republic announced, in 2016, 4 thousand 852 people were injured from animal bites in Dagestan. The city hall of the city should deal with the catch and sterilization of stray dogs in Makhachkala. The tender for catching animals is carried out annually, the amounts that are laid for these purposes are impressive: 2.8 million rubles in 2015, 2.95 million in 2016. Both times the competition was won by the Municipal Company "Vityaz". She was the only contender, other candidates were not allowed to the competition - they did not go to the registration. According to the database of Russian companies, Spark, the main activity of Vityaz LLC is the cultivation of annual crops. Why this particular company was entrusted to engage in catching homeless animals is not clear.

Activists of Zooolif have long opposed this organization and their methods. They have repeatedly stated that “instead of the catch of animals, Vityaz’s employees are engaged in their shooting using pneumatic and traumatic weapons ... Corruption offenses are present in the activities of the Vityaz employees.” However, the Dagestan authorities did not pay attention to this, and the "Vityaz" continued to work.

“Over the past few years, the dogs have really bred from such connivance,” says Olga Vyatkina. - But basically these are non -aggressive animals. They are not hungry: there are plenty of urban landfills with an abundance of food. They protect the city from rats, cats cannot cope with this problem. But still their number must be adjusted. The authorities did not respond to hundreds of our requests for help in sterilization of animals. And now in the city a massive, uncontrolled and cruel massacre has begun. She has nothing to do with the protection of people.

The feeling that some found a legal reason to kill and splash out their anger. Dogs are only a convenient defenseless target. ”

The organization does not have its own shelter for animals, several hundred wards of Zooolifa (dogs and cats) are placed in impromptu enclosures on 20 hundredths of Olga's friends.
