Activist Valentin Murzaev, the organizer of a rally in memory of Boris Nemtsov, was detained in Perm. This was announced on February 26 by the Perm branch of PARNAS.
Police officers detained Murzaev in the city center and took him to the police station in the Dzerzhinsky district. There, the activist was informed that he was detained until the morning, then a trial would take place.
The police clarified that Murzaev is charged under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses - the demonstration of Nazi paraphernalia, for posting on the VKontakte social network in October 2014. And they detained him because he allegedly avoided meeting with the investigator. Murzaev himself says that he does not remember anything of the kind, and if he did publish something, it was obviously in an anti-fascist context.
In the morning, the police plan to take Murzaev to the court station at 50 Tankistov Street.
