Abdullayeva's son is suspected of stealing a phone. On February 25, the same police officers arrived at the Abdullaevs’ home without warning to “talk” with the suspect, banged on the door and threatened to knock it down. The door was not opened for them and they left.
On February 28, the police again entered the apartment - this time not to “talk”, but with a search, during which one of the officers frankly told the human rights activist’s son: “It’s nothing personal, say thank you for all the fuss that your mother is stirring up.”
