Judge of the Krasnosulinsky District Court of the Rostov Region Valery Orlov, having examined the appeal of the Coordinator of mining protests in Gukov Valery Dyakonov, tightened him from 60 hours of compulsory work to one year conditionally with restriction in the right of movement and prohibition of attending mass events. It is reported by Rosbalt with reference to the activist himself.
As the Caucasian Knot reported , the verdict Dyakonov was sentenced on September 27, 2016. The defendant was declared guilty under Part 1 of Article 119 of the Criminal Code (threat of murder). At the same time, the obligatory work appointed by the activist was considered departed, taking into account the time that he spent under house arrest.
According to the plot of the case, on November 9, 2015, Dyakonov came to his service office to the vice-mayor of the city of Zverevo Andrei Romanchenko and threatened him with a gun. It was claimed that threats were expressed in connection with the trial in a certain civil lawsuit; One of the parties in the case was the administration of Zverev.
The activist otherwise sets out the situation. According to him, he demonstrated the Walter gas gun to the official and explained that, due to the threats coming to him, he was forced to walk with weapons.
There is no sound on the recording of the video surveillance camera present in the case file. Thus, the prosecution was based only on the testimony of Romanenko.
In an interview with Rosbalt, Dyakonov explained the toughening of the sentence with the desire of the authorities to prevent him from leaving the interests of miners. However, the activist said that he would continue social activities. “I will not change because I hate thieves and crooks,” he assured.
In the past, Dyakonov was a deputy of the Zverevsky City Duma.
The protests in Gukov, located less than 20 kilometers from Zverev, began at the end of last summer. On August 23, miners working at Kingcool enterprises began a hunger strike due to many months of non-payment of salaries . The debt for almost a year and a half exceeded 300 million rubles.
The general director of Kingcool Vladimir Pozhidaev was arrested. He was charged with part 2 of Article 145.1 (complete non -payment of salaries for more than two months) and part 2 of article 201 of the Criminal Code (abuse of powers that entailed grave consequences).
On August 24, representatives of miners refused to go to a meeting with Governor Vasily Golubev. “We are afraid that we, for four people of the initiative group, will put pressure from the government of the Rostov region,” explained one of the representatives, Dmitry Kovalenko.
By September 2, the number of participants in the hunger strike increased to 175 people . By that time, three protesters were already called an ambulance. Doctors recommended sick workers to remove the hunger strike, but they refused.
On September 27, on the day of the sentence Dyakonov, the miners suspended the hunger strike so as not to pursue an excessive threat. By that time, salary debts were partially paid. However, they have not yet been fully calculated with the workers.
According to Mediazon, in November last year, buses with miners who were heading to Rostov-on-Don to a rally were not released from Gukov. In December, a trip of workers to Moscow to meet with State Duma deputies was torn in the same way.
