Interfax: the head of the Moscow district of Perovo was detained for fraud

In Moscow, the head of the Perovo district administration, Alexander Dovgopol, was detained; he is suspected of fraud, reports , citing a source in law enforcement agencies. Interfax

“On suspicion of fraud, the head of the Perovo district administration, Alexander Dovgopol, born in 1965, was detained for 48 hours,” said the agency’s interlocutor.

According to him, at the end of 2016, Dovgopol entered into an agreement for the provision of information services, which was not fulfilled. “Today, while receiving a large sum of money as a kickback, Dovgopol was detained. A criminal case has been opened,” the source said.

Interfax notes that it does not yet have official confirmation of the information.

Alexander Dovgopol was appointed head of the Perovo government in June 2013. He is 51 years old. From 2004 to 2013, Dovgopol was a municipal deputy in Perovo.

“Under direct supervision, logistical support was organized for the elections of the Mayor of Moscow on September 8, 2013, as well as the elections of deputies of the Moscow City Duma of the sixth convocation on September 14, 2014,” says the “Achievements” section on the official’s page on the Perovo district website.
