Investigators became interested in the case that occurred with the Paralympic at the Cheboksary airport: a man without legs had to go down on an airplane of aircraft not equipped with an elevator for the disabled, according to the Volga Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee. The video of this incident is posted on Instagram by journalist Alexander Valeev.
According to preliminary data, on February 28, a Passenger Air Force, the N172500, landed at the city of Cheboksary. Due to the lack of a specially equipped mechanism for the descent of people with limited abilities, one of the aircraft passengers, who flew to participate in the Paralympic Games, independently went down the ladder, sitting in a wheelchair.
The athlete introduced himself as a wardrobe Zaurovich and said that he was the world athletics world champion. “I am not luggage, I am a living person. <...> I am a disabled person of the first group. Thank you for your help, I got a loader, and you told me that I have no right to say anything to him,” complained the Paralympic.
The signature for the video on Instagram states that the promised year ago was not bought by disabilities.
Meanwhile, the press service of the Cheboksar Airport notes that the athlete-paralympo has abandoned the standard service provided for transporting people with disabilities, and made a scandal. The coach did not help the athlete to go down, but instead shot what was happening on the video, writes the site "My city" .
Five Paralympicians were on board, investigators clarify. Four of them were taken out of the airport from an airplane in their hands.
Investigators conduct an audit. They will establish all the circumstances of the incident and take the necessary measures to introduce the presentation to the airport management, which will indicate the need to install special ramps for descent people with disabilities.
Note, a few years ago in the United States, a scandal broke out around the Delta airline. A resident of Hawaii, who cannot walk, sued a company that did not provide him with the necessary assistance when leaving the plane, reported the website of Houston Chronicle . Despite the fact that when buying a ticket, the passenger specified that he would need special assistance in landing, he had to crawl along the ladder to the wheelchair who was waiting for him. At the same time, he got his suit. The situation was repeated during the flight back.
