The defendant of the "Swamp business" Buchenkov was transferred under house arrest

The defendant of the "Swamp business" Dmitry Buchenkov was transferred from the pre -trial detention center under house arrest. This was announced by Novaya Gazeta by lawyer Buchenkov Ilya Novikov.

As the publication indicates, house arrest Buchenkov will serve in the city of April, the Naro-Fominsky district of the Moscow Region.

At the end of February, Novikov offered 250 thousand rubles to the one who will provide information about the person who was accepted for Buchenkov in a video about the events in Bolotnaya Square in May 2012. The lawyer emphasized that during the events in Bolotnaya, his client was in Nizhny Novgorod with relatives, but investigators do not check this information.

Buchenkov was arrested in December 2016. He was charged under Articles 318 (the application of violence against a representative of the authorities) and 212 (participation in the riots) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. On February 17, 2017, the Investigative Committee completed the investigation in the Buchenkov case; It is expected that the court will begin in April-May.

The defendants in the "swamp business" are more than 30 people. It is associated with an opposition action, which was agreed by the authorities, but then the rally transferred to the clashes of the protesters with the police. Between the participants in the procession and the police began clashes, which the Investigative Committee later called planned mass riots. On February 21, Open Russia's lawyer Sergei Badamshin said that the investigation into the “Swamp case” was extended until September 7, 2017.
